After several unsuccessful attempts, the hawksbill turtle reported for several weeks in Bassin pirogue with a hook and a fishing line was recovered on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 by the Kelonia Care Centre, thanks to the assistance of users of the site. It is recognizable by two white spots on the back of its shell. If the hook and line are no longer visible, they may have been lost or swallowed. The turtle should have a control X-ray and blood test tomorrow morning. If nothing abnormal appears, the turtle will quickly be released into the ocean.
