“The analyzes of available digital models show an improvement in cyclogenesis conditions by Friday 3 March 2017”.

This is what we read in a special communiqué issued by the Meteorological Service of Madagascar yesterday. According to the statement, the risk of tropical cyclogenesis in the vicinity of Agalega Island and the Chagos archipelagos is accentuated by the entry of tropical waves (Madden Julian oscillation and Rossby wave) into the basin.

According to computations from Météo France computers, the structure that could develop would have a large, monsoon-type, low-pressure circulation. If this scenario were to continue, heavy rains would be expected at the end of the week, early next week, in La Réunion and Mauritius.
