Since early May, the Norwegian research vessel Dr Fridtjof Nansen has been roaming the continental shelf jointly managed by Seychelles and Mauritius. The two countries have entrusted a Norwegian company with the task of collecting fish species from the continental shelf, but also to find there the presence of hydrocarbons likely to lead to oil deposits at sea. Present at the docking of the Norwegian ship in Port-Louis, June 4, Sir Anerood Jugnauth welcomed the presence of 13 Mauritian scientists on board. Dr. Fridtjof Nansen had a total of 30 researchers including 5 Seychellois.
